Our Pulpit

Rev. Al B. Morgan, Pastor

Al B. Morgan, a product of Little Rock, AR has humbly served as the pastor of the Emmanuel Baptist Church for the past 11 years. He is the eldest son of the two children from the union of Mrs. Betty (Williams) Morgan and the late Mr. Fellon Morgan.  Rev. Morgan is the proud father of two daughters and one son.

In 1992, Rev. Morgan united with the New Hope Baptist Church where he served as an usher, a Sunday school teacher, and co-chaired the Tutoring Ministry.  In October 1996, Rev. Morgan publicly announced his call to the gospel ministry. He delivered his first sermon and was licensed, in November 1996.  In December 1998, Rev. Morgan was called to serve as pastor of the Gumwood Baptist Church of Keo, AR. Rev.  Morgan served there for nearly 6 years.

In January 2006, Pastor Morgan joined Emmanuel Baptist Church as its 6th pastor. Emmanuel has flourished spiritually, economically, and socially under Pastor Morgan’s leadership.  The LORD has tremendously blessed us to experience numerous building renovation, and new and revived ministries. We host annual community festivals to clothe and feed our community and neighbors, while providing medical care, school supplies, and various social assistance.  Pastor Morgan visits the sick and shut-in members; serves bereaved families near and far (including non-members); counsels privately; and he personally greets members and guests each Sunday.

Pastor Morgan is a graduate of the Little Rock School District. He attended and graduated from Little Rock Central High in 1989, and he later attended and studied at the Missionary Baptist Seminary. He earned his degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He has served as a certified instructor in the Union District Baptist.
